7 years of working as a NYC DJ has left Hanzi with an insatiable appetite for music and dancing. But it only took him a few months to develop an insatiable appetite for drugs and alcohol. A snapshot of Hanzi's DJ career can be summed up in one moment: smoking crack in the bathroom of a Hampton's mansion moments before going on stage to DJ after Wyclef. After years of mental and physical abuse he finally put down the substances. but kept feeding into his love for music on the dancefloor and in the DJ booth. Like most people. Hanzi thought that his spiritual experiences on the dancefloor would evaporate when he put drugs and alcohol behind him. However, he soon found that not only could he still enjoy himself, but he left even more satisfied. Having made new friends since he got sober, his goal has now become to bring the same experience to all his friends. new and old, and change the notion that one needs a mood altering substance to have fun. Hanzi has performed at various NV bars. clubs and venues including The Delancey, The Bell House. and Stephen Talkhouse. His clients include Adore Me, Publicis One and Bank ABC among others.
